LUCCA

Situated on the river Serchio, Lucca is a large town of the Tuscany area in Italy, boasting a completely intact Medieval city wall. Besides the parks and nice pedestrian areas, Lucca is a place with many churches and basilicas, plus an Academy of Sciences. The town is the birthplace of many famous composers, among them Giacomo Puccini, Alfredo Catalani and Francesco Geminiani.
